Genie Garage Door Opener Question

Question:
I'm trying to fix a 15 yr old Genie 1810 garage door opener. The motor gave out and since I found oil had leaked from the motor capacitor, I replaced that. Buy the motor still is dead. Neither the remote nor the manual button works. This tells me it's not the coding or radio reception for the remote.

When the motor failed there was smoke which I attributed to oil from the capacitor splashing on something hot (what I didn't know). Now I believe that some circuitry may have burned out. Where can I find a repair manual that will take me beyond the simple troubleshooting options that
Genie provides to consumers? Or, do any of you have troubleshooting ideas to share?

Answer:
if smoke came out, maybe it is burned(at least partially). When starting cap fails, motor was kinda in stalled mode causing the burn(smoke). I'd suggest you replace the motor with new one or have it rebuilt(may cost as much as new one).
