best for a garage

Question:
What kind of heater is the best for a garage? A forced air tube style or a convection style? went to Menards and bought a remigton tube style that is 30,000 to 55,000 BTU's but they had a convections style that was 40,000 to 80,000 BTU that would heat 1900 sq ft and the Remington heated 1500 sq ft and my garages is 1550 sg ft. The tube style looks like it would heat up faster and last a little longer. It was $140, should I take it back and get the other one(convections style that looks like it has no fan) which throws heat 360 degrees instead of one way for $99?

Answer:
It is best to get the right size for the area you are heating. The forced tube heater will heat quicker for the size and use less fuel but the convection heater will heat more efficiently during the long term. I would look and make sure the application is safe and you don't need additional ventilation. A convection heater uses the natural air current to heat as heat rises the cold air falls. The good thing about the forced air heater is that it will circulate the heat a lot faster. Most construction sites use the forced air but either should heat just fine.
