Question:
We would like to install a 16' *metal* garage door. Please advise us on:
- Which is a better garage door: Martin or Clopay?
(we can only choose between the two)
- Our garage faces a quiet street. So, should we install an 1-layer,
2-layer(steel+insulation), or 3-layer(steel+insulation+stell) door?
- Which door opener is truly maintenance free and lasts the longest:
screw, chain, or belt?
Answer:
I, personally, went with the Martin "3-layer" garage doors. Many of
my neighbors later copied my choice. So, it must have been the
right one. :)
IMHO, it is the two separated layers of steel, more than the
insulation, which is what makes the "3-layer" doors much better.
