Need some help with garage door installation please.

Question:
Garage door 16'x7 still.
With 2 Torsion spring, as soon I adjust the spring to the point I able to lift it up manually with use lot of force, and the door up about 4' and it stay it self at that position, but the two cable both side if I push the door all way up then cable will come of the roller and if I adjust the spring more then the door will lift it self up. So what the trick here?

Answer:
You may have the wrong springs for this door. There are hundreds of spring designs (wire size and number of turns) to exactly match the weight and size of the door.

Usually, one heavy spring does most of the lifting work; the other spring is a "helper" to provide some tension at the end of travel.

Did these same 2 springs work for this door before?
If not, you might go to a garage door supply house and ask what springs would work best for the door you have.
