Complete Garage Kit,example?

Question:
I'm still in the process of getting these reproduced for the masses, and yes, a blue hologram is better than nothing, but not by much when they are really blue like mine.. Not much more than a faint blue blur under the window when it's on.. Anyway, I have an agreement with IPB to reproduce these, but the process means a completely new hologram must be made, and this is a somewhat expensive and timeconsuming propostion, but the hurdle Im having right now is having a reproduction of the model used to create the hologram.. A physical model in the pose we want must be created and then it can be photographed and a master hologram made, (kind of like a negative from which many copies can be made) If I can get a model made, (and I can, but Im working on the best method as well as a cost effective one) then IPB can have the master image made, and plenty of copies with the correct black laminate and adhesive for the masses..
Im trying to make the model, it can be made from scratch.. (read very expensive and time consuming) or an existing model must be found and modified if necessary (less expensive and time consuming) but I have not found a suitable model yet. In talking with some sculptors and friends in the business of figure sculpting, (yes folks that's all they do) they have seen the original holo and think a "garage kit" exists that was originally used as a model for the holo.. Of course if a kit or the molds for the kit can be found we can get an exact replica and be that much closer to making a holo that looks the same..
So far no luck in getting a kit, or the molds from the kit.. so Im contemplating having a completely new model made from a NOS hologram... It will cost several thousand dollars and take probably 6 to 12 months to complete... that's where we stand today... If anyone knows "garage kits" and thinks they can help locate a model that looks close to the original, I could use that to get a head start..

Answer:
-I know some pretty damn good modelers, and I doubt it would cost them thousands to recreate that model.
Can you send me a good picture of what the model should look like? I don't have a CFTBL myself.
-I would think that an existing model of the creature would be fine -- a reproduction holo is not going to be identical to NOS anyway, so if it's a close approximation (e.g. it looks like the creature and is oriented so it looks like it's swimming up to you) I for one wouldn't care if it was an exact duplicate of the original. A sculptor is not going to make an *exact* duplicate anyway. The important thing to me would be that it *look* like the creature, be in approximately the same pose, and have a comparable amount of details (it looks like the one in the holo has had the crevices of the model filled in with something to darken them, to enhance the detail).
Just MHO.
